The Green Innovation Index is a new report by Next 10 that analyzes key economic and environmental indicators to help us better understand the role green innovation plays in reducing greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming while growing our economy.

Many Shades of Green: Diversity and Distribution of California’s Green Jobs California green jobs increased by 36% from 1995-2008 while total jobs expanded only 13%. As the economy slowed between 2007-2008, total employment fell 1%, but green jobs continued to grow by 5%.

Next 10 is currently working with the California Air Resources Board, the California Energy Commission, University of California at Berkeley, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to develop a California-Specific Carbon Calculator.
